Leo Koutsantonis is a deaf, self-taught artist, born in Thessaloniki, Greece in 1937. He started painting at the age of 6, experimenting with different artistic currents ranging from landscapes to abstracts. Painting helps him externalise all the thoughts and images that run through his head and which would otherwise remain locked up in the silence in which he lives.
It is a great honour for him to know that others may take an interest in what he creates. He remains an amateur artist and would love to see his art publicised at a low, affordable cost.
